About Daryl Homer
The first American male to earn a silver individual medal at the Olympics in men's saber fencing, two-time Olympian Daryl Homer aspires for greatness.
Homer was born in the U.S. Virgin Islands and raised in the Bronx, New York. He is a five-time gold medalist at the Pan American Fencing Championships and in 2015, won a silver medal at the World Fencing Championships, becoming the first American male to ever medal in his discipline. He competed at the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Olympic Games and is currently training towards the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Homer is a member of a burgeoning pantheon of athletes using their platforms to influence change in their respective sports and wider culture. He has partnered with global organizations on creative projects and initiatives to bring sports diplomacy, equity and access to the forefront of global conversation. His partnerships include: Open Society Initiative for West Africa (OSIWA), The United Nations, 14+ Foundation, and Right to Play. Most recently, he was named as an Athlete Role Model for the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires.

Homer holds a Bachelor of Science in Advertising Communication from St. John’s University. He currently resides in Harlem, New York.
